In his presentation on 'The Global Market for Organic Food & Drink' at BioFach 2010, Amarjit Sahota estimated worldwide organic market sales at 50.9 billion US dollars.
According to the expert from Organic Monitor, Europe accounts for 26 billion US dollars of this, the USA 23 billion US dollars and Asia 950 million US dollars.
Global organic sales in 2005 had only amounted to 33.2 billion US dollars.
