Almost 333’000 hectares of organic grapes were grown in 2015, which constitutes 4.7 percent of the world’s grape-growing area (7.2 million hectares in 2013, according to FAOSTAT). In Europe, almost 293’000 hectares (7.3 percent of the harvested grape area) were organic.
