In France the organic area, the number of producers as well as the market continued to grow in 2014.

Here are the key figures for 2014:

  • Market: 4.83  billion euros, +10.2 percent compared with 2013, 2.5 percent of total market
  • Farms: 24‘266 farms, + 4 percent compared with 2013, 5.6 percent of all farms
  • Organic farmland: 1’118’190 hectares, +5.4 percent compared with 2013, 4.14 percent of all farmland
