IFOAM at the Rio+20 Conference

Twenty years on from the original Earth Summit, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) is present in Rio with a comprehensive and integrated advocacy program aimed at positioning organic agriculture and the global organic movement at the center of sustainable development (SD) policies and initiatives.

IFOAM is coordinating over 20 leaders from the global organic movement in Rio and from June 12 to June 22, and contributing and participating in a diverse range of events and negotiations with key stakeholders both within and outside the official United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD).

Participate online

IFOAM is providing online platforms for in order to increase virtual participation in Rio+20. There is a an IFOAM blog and regular short video updates from Rio. It is also possible to register for two interactive IFOAM World Café sessions live from Rio on June 15 and 20 as well as to follow IFOAM on Twitter.
